Design of a machining and packaging workshop for brake discs

Development of a Brake Disc Machining and Packaging Facility

Mechanical engineering industry
Completed
Confidential
Establishment of serial production of automotive brake discs and calipers with a high level of automation and controlled machining quality.

FOR WHOM

The client was developing a new production facility for manufacturing brake system components. The project involved creating a technologically integrated production setup with a high level of precision and machining quality, ensuring consistency of product parameters.

As part of the project, it was required to integrate automated machining lines, implement painting and packaging within a unified production cycle, and ensure scalability to support future production growth.

CONTEXT

To develop a technological concept for production setup, including the establishment of a modern machining and packaging facility for finished products.

GOAL

SOLUTION

The production structure was developed based on flow-oriented and modular equipment layout principles.
Within the project, the following was delivered:
Design of automated machining lines
Design of internal logistics flows within the facility
Integration of engineering systems (power supply, ventilation, transport)
Setup of packaging lines
Integration of painting areas
Development of the equipment layout concept

RESULT

A modern machining facility has been established

A robust production setup established with scalability for capacity expansion
Painting and packaging areas integrated
Launch of automated production of brake discs ensured
The project enabled the client to establish a competitive production platform with a high level of automation, reduced operating costs, and the ability to expand the product portfolio in the brake system components segment.
